I counted the Stars” is an approach to the poet William Becher William Becher would have had his 100th birthday in 1998. Cause of this event , his grandson Frank Becher started the project about his grandpa who died when Frank was six. The film combines a fiction level, where poems and parts of William Becher’s diaries are isualized, with interviews of his five children.
The Film was shot in 1998 in Lindau and Nuernberg. The premiere was on november 11th during a lecture of Becher’s poems.
