Short Film Production

Cinemaniax! produces regularly low-budget short films on 35mm, 16mm and Video. Some of them got subsidies by public funds like the FilmFernsehFonds Bayern and the Filmbüro Franken.

Despite the fact, that there are 1000+ short films produced in Germany every year, the eploitation of this film genre is very difficult. There are no slots in TV and the short films in the cinemas were replaced by commercials in the last years. So, we are very happy that our shorts have had good responses from national and especially international festivals. Our successful “The Schoolboy” was awarded worldwide e.g. with the German Short Film Prize 2003. At the moment CINEMANIAX! is developping a first feature length aniation film as well as feature length live action movie.
